Google Adsense

A great way to put your website to work bringing in a little extra income is through Google's Adsense.  When you
are on a Website and you see an area with some links and descriptions, and at the top you see Goooooogle,
this is Google's Adsense. See the example on the right.- - - ->

If while you are on that page you click to have a look at what one of those ads has to offer, the owner of the website will receive a little money added to their account.  You may notice on those pages a Search Bar to search Google with, as you see below.  If you were to use this to search with, you will notice the top four links will be "Sponsored Links", if you were to click on one of these, the owner of the referring Website would also receive a little income from that click.  When someone clicks to these websites, you do NOT have to purchase anything for the referrer to receive some funding.

As you can see, this can be a great way to augment your website income.  Best of all it's FREE!  

How it works. When you have your domain name attached to your site, and the site shows some work, you can click the square in the upper right corner of this page and apply to Google Adsense.  They will then check your site and probably approve it.  You will set up your Username and Password and how you want to receive payment.  After this is set up, you can then start adding Adsense links to your site.

Click on the tab "AdSense for Content" and select the size of your banner, the color etc. then scroll down to the bottom of the page and highlight and COPY the HTML Code in the box.  Now, decide where you want the add to appear on your site and PASTE the code there.  Yopu can do the same for the Google Search function by clicking "AdSense for Search" and PASTING the code in the appropriate place on your web page.  

Once the code is in place and uploaded to your website. the programming automatically picks out the content of the web page and places appropriate ads on the page.  This only takes about two seconds! Amazing, huh? Now start driving visitors to your site!!

Statistics say that 3% of the visitors to your pages will click on one of the AdSense links.  You will receive payment when your AdSense account reaches $100.00 and it is the time that Google sends out those payments.
